GOFFSTOWN, NH - Jeffrey Lee Healey, age 75, son of the late William and Gerta Healey of Amesbury, died in Hospice Care on Saturday, February 10, 2018, in Goffstown, NH.
Jeffrey's interest in waterways and the sea were mentored by Seascout Master, Carl Holstrom, Sr. and the staff at Hiram Lowell Boat Shop. Grateful to win the Bailey Scholarship for Engineering at Amesbury High School graduation, he attended Northeastern University for both a BS and MS in Engineering. As an active member of Nu Epsilon Zeta Chapter, he dated, then married, Frances Benoit of Amesbury, also in college in Boston.
He worked in IT and engineering at Hylectronic's Corp., Blue Seed Feeds and later, the Auto Mile of Norwood. Having a BS in Accounting from Merrimack College, he was the acting Treasurer for the Town of Groveland. Once retired, he mentored and assisted veterans and also assisted in numerous community projects.
Jeff leaves behind his beloved sister, who was his caretaker throughout his illness, Jill D. Healey of N.H.; his brother, William Healey, and his family; and his cousins, Louisa Petersen of Texas, Nancy Yee of Michigan, James Cassidy of Minnesota, and Joan Evans of Florida.
Due to inclement weather and distant travel, a Celebration of Life service is planned for the Spring. Private burial was held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913.
