Jean's Story

Jean Laliberte passed away at the age of 58 years old on March 30, 2017, as the result of a skiing accident. Jean was born September 3, 1958, in Quebec City, Canada. He was a talented sports writer for many years in Quebec and Montreal. Jean was also an avid runner and skier and was involved in sports his entire life. He had a passion for the ocean and always challenged anyone to beat him at body surfing. Jean reconnected with his high school sweetheart late in 2013 and moved to New Hampshire to later get married in 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Lago; his step-sons, Jason and his husband, Chris, Scott and his wife, Bridget, and William and his girlfriend, Lauren; his brother and sisters, Charles and his wife, Anne-France, Christine and her husband, Pierre, Loulou and her partner, Nicolas, and Jojo; his nephew, Jean-Francois; his nieces, Michou and Sophie; and many loving friends.
Friends and family may call at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA 01950 on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. Parking available behind the funeral home. Services and burial will be private.
