Jane Feltham (Terry) Thomas

Jane Feltham (Terry) Thomas Topsfield, MA - Jane Feltham (Terry) Thomas, age 92, passed peacefully at Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield on Tuesday evening, December 4, 2018, and was the wife of the late Hawley D. Thomas.
Born in Newburyport on April 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Edythe M. (Feltham) Terry and was a graduate of Amesbury High School. She went on to attend Bradford Junior College for one year, then graduated from Wheelock College with a degree in Elementary Education.
Her first teaching position was at the Ordway School in Amesbury. After moving to Natick, Jane spent more than 40 years as a substitute teacher in the Natick Elementary School System, loving every minute of being with her young charges who were eager to learn. She was beloved by all her students.
Jane would spend every summer at her favorite spot, her family summer home at Lake Attitash, for almost 80 years, where so many wonderful memories were made with family and friends. More recently she had been a resident at Haverhill Crossings, then spent the last few years at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield.
Those left behind to cherish the infinite memories of her life include her son, Chris Thomas of Avon, CT; her daughter, Terry Lyn (Thomas) Lipinski and husband John of Reno, NV; her sister, Suzanne Curry and husband George of Merrimac; her dearest grandchildren, Jessica Thomas, Stephen Thomas, Megan Marquez, Nora Lipinski and Timothy Lipinski; her five great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She will be missed by them all, but will continue to live in their hearts forever.
The family especially appreciates the exceptional care provided by the staff of Masconomet Healthcare Center and the Harborside Hospice.
An hour of visitation will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, followed by services at 11 a.m. and then burial at Bartlett Cemetery.
