Jacob "Jake"'s Story
Jacob D. “Jake” Marsden, 23, of Kensington, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, July 24, 2017.
Jake was born in Haverhill, Mass., on February 18, 1994, to Barbara L. (Elliott) Marsden of Kensington and David F. Marsden of Pepperell, Mass.
Raised in Kensington by his mother, Barbara and stepfather, Doug Packard, Jake attended middle school and high school at the Spahawk School in Amesbury, Mass. Upon graduation from high school, he went on to Prescott College in Prescott, Ariz. A machinist by trade, Jake worked in the family business, J. D. Todd Machine of Seabrook.
Jake was a kind, friendly, loving and free spirited young man with a beautiful and infectious smile. He loved the earth. He loved animals, including his dogs and pet turtle. He loved fishing, hiking, camping, skateboarding, and rock climbing. If it was an outdoor activity, Jake would take it on with his heart and soul.
In addition to his Mom and Stepfather, Jake leaves his siblings, Christopher Owens and his wife, Casey of Sandown, Todd Owens and his wife, Jennifer of Boxford, Mass., Dylan Packard of Kensington, Melinda Packard and her husband, Steven Sutton of Bradford, Mass., Jacob Packard and his wife, Danielle of Kensington, Jameson Packard of Kensington, Christian Packard and his fiancée, Brynn Story of Kensington and Valerie Packard of Georgetown, Mass. Also left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Emma Mendoza of Merrimack, Mass.; his grandparents, Mary Marsden of Salisbury, Mass., and Ernest and Hazel Packard of Limerick, Maine; and many as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jake’s happy-go-lucky approach to life will be deeply missed by his family and many, many friends.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017, in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home - Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Family and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private.
