Irene Linscott, 71, of Newburyport, passed away peacefully February 26, 2017, at the Brigham Health & Rehab Center. Irene was born January 30, 1946, in Canton, Massachusetts and lived her early years in Kingston, New Hampshire. She attended Concord High School and the University of New Hampshire to obtain a Visual and Fine Arts degree. She was a ski instructor in Stowe, Vermont, Vail, Colorado and Ketchum, Idaho. She was a talented artist and photographer, and her artwork touched many lives with its beauty and excellence. Galleries in Ketchum, Idaho and Manchester, N.H., represented her work. She then became a graphic designer for Harborside Printing, Inc. in Newburyport, Massachusetts and for JW Reilly in Boston. Her most recent graphic design work is displayed in the international magazine, American Art Review. Irene will join her deceased parents, Constance and Mellen Linscott and sister, Sally Webster Dion. She is survived by and will be truly missed by her sister, Nancy MacKenzie and husband, Douglas; her nieces and nephews, Cathy Lyons and husband, Michael, Scott MacKenzie and wife, Genevieve, Lynne Trombly and husband, William, Steven Webster and wife, Robin, Jane Wenzel and husband, William, Judith Reilly and husband, Eugene, Ann DiFrancesco and husband, William. The family will always cherish her artistic talents, thoughtfulness, and her witty personality. There are no words to describe how beautiful she was inside and out.
Rest in peace, dear Irene. Your gentle spirit, artistic soul and humor will live on.
