Ian True's Story
Ian True Marshall, age 85, longtime resident of Salisbury, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Merrimack Valley Health Center in Amesbury.
He was born in Newburyport on January 30, 1932, twin son of Alan W. and Edith (True) Marshall, and was a graduate of Newburyport High School.
Ian had worked as an assembler in various manufacturing companies in the area, and in his later years, enjoyed working at the Alden Merrill Cheesecake Factory.
He was a 63-year member of St. John’s Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of Newburyport. He was also a longtime member of Friendship Chapter No. 58, Order of Eastern Star, serving the Chapter as Patron several times and serving on the Auditing Committee for several years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin brother, Alan Wilson Marshall, who died March 15, 2014. He is survived by several cousins and dear friends.
Masonic services by St. John’s Lodge of Newburyport will be Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, followed by Eastern Star Services conducted by Friendship Chapter No. 58, O.E.S. of Newburyport and concluding with funeral services.
Burial at Long Hill Cemetery, Salisbury, will be private.
