Henry Grissino, age 83, of Wake Forest, N.C. formerly of Massachusetts, passed peacefully Sunday morning at the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, N.C., with his loving family by his side.
Born in New York City on September 1, 1934, one of eleven children of the late Diomede and Anna Maria (Borrelli) Grissino, he graduated from high school in Charlotteville, NY then went off to join the Navy, proudly serving during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
After his military service, he went on to become a certified electrical engineer, turning into a lifetime career with various companies including AT&T, Sylvania, and Wang Laboratories.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Ann-Marie (Batten) Grissino of Wake Forest, N.C.; his children, Linda Evans of California, Theresa Grissino of Norwood, Gail Espinosa and husband, Mario of California, David Grissino and wife Katie of Wellesley, Alan Grissino and wife, Leiza of Amesbury, Lian Grissino of N.C.; as well as 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his former spouse Lillian Sanford of Amesbury. His passing leaves many aching hearts, but the countless memories, filled with music, will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Annisquam Village Church, 820 Washington Street, Gloucester, followed by a private burial in Amesbury.
