Henry E. "Hank"'s Story
Henry E. “Hank” Pepin, age 68, of Amesbury, passed suddenly at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Haverhill. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia J. (O’Hara) Pepin, who died May 25, 2015.
Born in Lawrence on November 12, 1948, he was one of five children of the late Ernest L. and Rita J. (Mailhot) Pepin and was a graduate of Georgetown High School.
Hank, as he was known by many, was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the United States Navy from August 15, 1967 to May 12, 1971, and continued his service with the Navy Reserves until August 19, 1973.
For many years he worked at GPD Optoelectronics Corp. in Salem, New Hampshire in their shipping and receiving department.
He leaves behind his sister, Jeanne Comeau; two brothers, Timothy Pepin and Ronald Pepin; along with several nieces and nephews, including Teresa O’Hara, James Pepin, Jason Pepin, Michael Pepin, Paul Comeau, Micheline Comeau and Charles Comeau; along with extended family members and dear friends. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Steven.
Visiting hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be Sunday, February 19, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services at the funeral home will be Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Amesbury.
