Helen M. (Cooper)'s Story
Helen M. (Cooper) Williamson, 73, of Hampton, N.H., formerly of Salisbury and Newburyport, passed quietly on Friday evening, September 8, 2017, at Oceanside Nursing Home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Cambridge, on February 13, 1944, Helen was the daughter of the late Joshua and Alice (Dicker) Cooper and was a graduate of Newburyport High School.
The deep rooted love and respect her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have for her is a true testament of her nurturing and lifelong devotion to her family. At the core of everything life lesson she taught them, was the importance of love and caring.
Although now in the loving arms of her late husband, William Williamson who died on June 20, 2008, she will be dearly missed by her son, William J. Williamson and wife, Betsy; her daughter, JoAnn Stanley and husband, Joe; her 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Charlotte Stanley and Dorothy Cooper; along with several nieces and nephews, extended family members and many good friends.
Visiting hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be Monday, September 11, 2017 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services at the funeral home will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 10 a.m. followed by burial in Union Cemetery, Amesbury.
