George A.'s Story

George A. Easto, age 90, of Venice, Fla., passed away on January 8, 2017. He was born in England on May 25, 1926, to Charlotte (Thompson) and George Alfred Easto. George was a U.S. Navy veteran and a Kamikaze WWII survivor. He was a longtime member of the VFW, Owings Mills, Md. He was past president of the Buc's Pleasure Club, Westminister, Md. He worked for Henry H. Lewis Contractors in Owings Mills, Md., until he retired in 2003, then moved to Venice, Fla. George was preceded in death by his son, Gary Easto, and daughter, Kathy Gilman. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary Elizabeth (Carroll) Easto of Venice, Fla., formerly of Salisbury, Mass.; daughters, Bonnie Guyton of Elkridge, Md., Susan J. Held of Anniston, Ala., Patricia Finch of Maumee, Ohio, Colleen Moore of Maderia Beach, Fla., Diane Wilson of Hanover, Pa.; sister, Evelyn Cunningham of New Freedom, Pa.; brother, John Henry Easto of Winchester, Va.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many relatives and longtime friends.
