Frank J.'s Story
Mr. Frank J. Vistorino, 95, of Topsfield, beloved husband of the late Eva Lucille (Lambert) Vistorino, died Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Putnam Farm in Danvers.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Angelina (Squillario) Vistorino.
He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1939. He continued his education at Northeastern University earning his degree in accounting while attending night school.
An honorably discharged veteran, Frank served his country as a member of the United States Army. Before the Korean War he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Colorado.
Mr. Vistorino began his professional career as a laborer with the Eastman Gelatin Corporation in Peabody. He worked his way through night school to earn his degree in accounting and earned a promotion to the accounting department at Eastman Gelatin where he worked for many years until the time of his retirement. Professionally, he was a member of the National Association of Accountants.
A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Frank was a longtime resident of the Town of Topsfield. He was devoted to his faith and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Topsfield for many years.
A member of the Italian American Club in Peabody, Frank was an accomplished gardener, an avid reader, and daily crossword finisher. His most memorable times were spent with family and friends. He was a gourmet cook and would often prepare meals for family and friends. He took immense pride in seeing the smiles that would appear at the first taste of one of his creations. He traveled extensively with his beloved wife and family, and treasured every moment. Family was paramount in his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Frank is survived by his children, Carol Fenwick and her husband, John of Los Altos, Calif., John Vistorino and his wife, Paula of Newburyport, and Nancy V. Carncross and her husband, Clayton of Topsfield; his grandchildren, Marianne, Jaclyn, Jill, Mallory, Julie, Paige, and Jay; his great-grandchildren, Owen, Lucas, Adalyn, and Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Mary Hoban and Louis and Joseph Vistorino.
His funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62), Danvers, Thursday, July 27, at 10:15 a.m. followed by his funeral Mass in St. Rose of Lima Church, Park Street, Topsfield at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield.
