Elizabeth Jean "Liz"'s Story
Elizabeth Liz Turner passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 56 years old.
She was a lifelong resident of the Town of Merrimac and often was involved in events in her community. Liz will be remembered by all who knew her as a spirited, loving, compassionate woman with a sense of humor and personality that were larger than her small stature. She often went out of her way to help others in need.
Liz was a devoted daughter, a dedicated mother, a beloved sister, a steadfast friend, and a fixture in her community. She will be dearly missed and her loss has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
Liz is survived by her mother, Ellen Turner; siblings, Jackie Turner and partner, Karen Stellmaker of CT, and David and wife, Sarah Turner, and their daughter, Chloe, of CA; her children, Kyle and wife, Lisa Pittman of Sandown, and Chad Pittman and his partner, Scott of Dorchester, Mass.; her grandson, Ethen Pittman of Sandown; her husband, Arthur Amirault of Merrimac; her step-children, Shirley Amirault Hurd of FL, April Robertson and husband Brian of Salem, NH, Arthur Amirault, Jr. of Merrimac, and Danielle Hampton of FL; step-grandchildren, Shy-Anne Hebert and husband Michael of Hookset, NH, Alexia Crosbie of FL, Makayla, Mackenzie and Breanna Doherty of Salem, NH and Teagan Amirault of Merrimac; her step-great-grandson, Laurence Hebert of Hookset, NH; along with extended family members and dear friends.
Calling hours are being held following private cremation at the Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 36 West Main Street, Merrimac, MA, on Friday, January 19, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the Tough Warrior Princesses at www.toughwarriorprincess.com.
