Salisbury - Elizabeth F. (Brooks) Webber, age 92, of Salisbury, died peacefully Monday morning, April 8, 2019 at Country Center Nursing Home in Newburyport. She was the devoted wife of the late Warren A. Webber, who died in 1993.
Born in Newburyport, August 22, 1926, she was one of three children of the late Raymond Brooks and Elizabeth (Wilson) Reed Brooks. She left high school to care for her gravely ill mother.
Elizabeth had worked as an assembler at the former Gould Shawmut in Newburyport.
She was a member of Belleville Congregational Church for over 80 years as well as a member of the Salisbury Senior Center. She was a passionate animal lover, and avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She was devoted to family and greatly loved by her grandchildren. She was a joyful person; always quick with a smile.
She has left her family a wonderful legacy of treasured memories that will always warm their heart and bring a smile to their face. Her survivors are her son, William R. Webber and wife Kathaleen of Salisbury; her daughter, Karen Webber of Newburyport; two grandchildren who were her shining stars, Elizabeth J. (Webber) Landry, her husband, Thomas Landry and William L. Webber; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Elizabeth was predeceased by her sister, Bertha Little-Chubb and brother Raymond Brooks.
Visiting hours at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport will be Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Fiske Chapel of Belleville Congregational Church, 300 High Street, Newburyport followed by burial at Belleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Opportunity Works, 10 Opportunity Way, Newburyport, MA 01950.
