Amesbury, MA - Edmond passed away on June 12, 2019 at the Merrimack Valley Health Center. He was born on May 5, 1931, son of the late Edmond and Marie Salome (Thibault) Poulin.
A lifelong Amesbury resident, he was a graduate of AHS with the Class of 1951. He furthered his education by attending Wentworth Inst. of Technology in Boston and worked many years as a draftsman at the former Bell Labs in N. Andover. He was an avid skier in his younger days and even skied the Alps. He was also a talented artist and loved painting with both oils and water colors. He enjoyed his community and was dedicated patron to Amesbury stores and restaurants. He was a member of the Lafayette Club and enjoyed motorcycles. And lastly, he was a great friend to all the animals in the neighborhood both inside his house and out.
He is survived by his two sisters, Arlene Cormier and Dolores Goodwin both of Amesbury, many nieces and nephews and his cat Smokey. He was predeceased by his siblings, Elizabeth Jardine, Lorraine Antille, Lucille Leblanc, and Henry Poulin.
A funeral mass for Edmond will be celebrated on Tuesday June 18 at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church 2 School St. in Amesbury. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. A reception will be held in the parish hall following burial. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home in Amesbury.
