Douglas J.'s Story
Douglas J. Tirone, 54, of Seabrook, N.H., passed away quietly in his home in the morning of Thursday, November 2, from heart complications.
He was born on September 30, 1963, in Amesbury, and graduated from AHS. When an accident at a local donut shop caused him to lose the fingers of his left hand at the age of eight, his only concern was that his sisters would cry. He did not want that.
He was a kindhearted, generous man who would do anything for anybody. His friends and family will remember him as a steadfast, loyal, and dedicated worker with numerous skills in the construction industry. He loved being social, having a drink with friends, and laughing. He worked hard. He played hard. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son, James D. Tirone; three sisters, Robin Hudson and fiancé, Jayne King, Gina Tirone and husband, Bob Fothergill, and his “rock,” Alicia Moore and her husband, Peter. He was the son of the late James V. and Janette C. (Chase) Tirone.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 19, at The Barn Pub, 5 Ring Street in Amesbury, from 1 to 6 p.m. A Time of Reflection will be held at 2:30 p.m. We invite anyone who shared a laugh, an act of kindness, or a job well done with Douglas, to join his family in celebrating his life and wishing him a peaceful rest.
