Merrimac, MA - Deborah Ann (Launsby) Power, age 54, of Merrimac, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019, at Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by her family who loved her so very dearly. She was the devoted wife of thirty-three years to Neil Power.
Born in Beverly, on February 14, 1964, she was the daughter of Patricia (Jones Launsby) Laforme and the late Charles Richard “Skeeter” Launsby. She was one of the first female graduates of Claude H. Patton Vocational High School in Beverly. For 25 years, Debbie worked in the semiconductor industry, including with Little Enterprises, Tokyo Electron, and, most recently, Hillside Engeneering. Her greatest joys in life were special moments and adventures with family and friends.
Debbie lives on through the unending love, pride, and adoration of her mother, Patricia and partner Thomas Potter of East Kingston, NH; her husband, Neil of Merrimac; her son, Chris Power and wife Katie of Lowell; her daughter, Megan Power and partner, Jonathan Bousquet of Newburyport; her brother, Charles Launsby, Jr. and wife, Susan of Amesbury; her sister, Karen Ahern and husband Rick of Merrimac; brother-in-law David Power and wife Linda, of Phippsburg, ME; brother-in-law, Kevin Power and wife Kathy of Ipswich; sister-in-law Maureen Power of Silver Spring, MD; sister-in-law Julie Power of Beverly; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and many very dear friends.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center online at https://www.bidmc.org/give.
