Dawnmarie (Melnick)'s Story
Dawnmarie (Melnick) Queenan, 49, of Kingston, N.H., formerly of Newburyport, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born, raised and educated in Newburyport, she was the daughter of Evan J. Melnick and Patricia M. Fuller. Continuing her education, she received her degree from Northern Essex Community College. She has resided in Kingston, N.H., for the past 10 years. Dawn was passionate about helping people with disabilities and spent most of her career as a Program Manager. Finding her career path to be rewarding, she felt blessed to serve the people she worked with as they became part of her family. She affected many lives through her dedication of improving the lives of others.
She enjoyed attending concerts, she was a great cook and hostess, and treasured her time spent with family. A true lover of nature she loved the beauty of trips to the mountains and the beaches.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she leaves her world and her loving children; daughters, Amanda L. Queenan and Melanie D. Queenan, both of Kingston, N.H. and cherished granddaughter, Madeline, who affectionately called her Momo. Dawn had a magical energy that has touched the lives of her loved ones. Her love and light will live on forever. So mote it be.
A celebration of Dawnmarie's life will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Please visit Comeau Funeral Home on facebook, or www.comeaufuneral.com.
