Daniel Charles's Story
Daniel Charles Cashman, 77, of Santis Way, Wolfeboro, N.H., died October 1, 2017, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Dan was born on January 5, 1940, in Lynn, Mass., son of the late Charles E. and Dorothy (Hanscom) Cashman. He lived in West Newbury from 1950 until moving to Wolfeboro in 1997.
Dan graduated from Newburyport High School, Class of 1957. He worked over 37 years at General Electric in Lynn, Mass., as a Supervisor. He was a past member of the West Newbury Fire Department, Gardner 4 Handtub as Foreman for six years, and a member of the marching band. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, hiking and working outside. He also played the trumpet with the Late Park Band and coached Pentucket Youth Hockey for many years.
Dan is survived by his wife, Julie C. (Duffy) Cashman of Wolfeboro, N.H.; a daughter, Debra Cashman of Salisbury, Mass.; two sons, Michael Cashman of West Newbury, Mass., and Charles Cashman of Haverhill, Mass.; two stepsons, Michael King of Ashburg, Va., and Brian King of Wolfeboro, N.H.; a brother, John Cashman of Dalton, N.H.; as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dan was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen Cashman, and his brother, Steven Cashman.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Services and burial will be private.
