Cheryl Ann's Story

Cheryl Ann Ricker, the daughter of the late Moses E. and Rosemarie Ricker, passed on to a better place with family and friends at her side on August 14, 2017 after a long battle in life.
Born in Newburyport on November 19, 1950, Cheryl attended Georgetown High and went onto Essex Aggie where she played semi-pro softball and semi-pro basketball for Nassau Ford. Cheryl was an avid candlepin bowler where she even had her 15 minutes of fame on the Candlepins for Cash show.
Cheryl worked for Styletech in Groveland. After leaving there, she went on to Dental School of Technology, but that wasn’t the correct career path for her. Cheryl found her true calling as a respiratory therapist working between CMC & Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H. Cheryl found steady employment at her favorite hospital, Exeter where she leaves behind countless friends and co-workers.
Cheryl’s loves were her Italian greyhounds which she showed AKC Division & Agility with her best friend Sophie Starkey and won many ribbons.
Cheryl leaves behind two sisters, Rose Scolaro and Audrey (Dede) Ricker and her partner, David Portigue; a brother George and his wife Sue, all of Tamworth, N.H.; a brother, Lonnie and his wife, Cathy of the Villages, Fla.; nephews, Scott and Don Brown, Mat, Ian, Britton Scolaro, Aaron and Alex Ricker, Travis and Tyler Hansen; nieces, Michelle Pisco and Molly Ricker, and Auntie Arlene and cousins along with best friends, Sophie and Chi; also roommate, Cheryl Lounsbury.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Church, 90 Chester Rd., Raymond, NH with a gathering downstairs afterwards.
A family burial at the Main St. Cemetery, Rowley, will be held.
