Charlene R.'s Story
Charlene R. Eaton, 68, of Seabrook, died at home after an extended illness. Her loving and devoted family was by her bedside.
Charlene was born in Newburyport, on May 2, 1948, a daughter of the late Charles R. Eaton, Jr. and Doris R. (Tompkins) Eaton.
She was a lifelong resident of Seabrook and graduated from Winnacunnet High with the Class of 1966. Charlene was good-hearted woman who would help anyone in their time of need. She enjoyed the beach and going on cruises every year with her longtime friend, Sheila Bishop. Charlene loved birds and was very proud of the many hand-painted birdhouses at Cross Beach. She had worked in component testing for the former Alcatel-Lucent of North Andover, and also as a clam digger and shucker for the local clam houses.
Charlene was a deeply religious woman, loved Jesus Christ and the bible and was a dedicated and faithful parishioner of the New England Christian Church of Salisbury. She will be sorely missed by her family, her church family and her many close friends.
In addition to her friend, Shelia, Charlene leaves her siblings, Patricia “Diane” Chase and her companion, Ronald Bruce, Charles R. Eaton III and his wife, Jean J., and Freddie B. Eaton, all of Seabrook.
Services will be held at the graveside at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the Wildwood Cemetery on South Main St. in Seabrook. Family and friends are respectfully invited. Assistance with arrangements was by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, Hampton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New England Christian Church, P.O.
