Brian I.'s Story
We sadly announce the passing of our son, Brian, who succumbed to cancer at the age of 38 with his loving family by his side. He fought this disease with real courage and accepted it with dignity, fighting it to the very end.
He was born in Portland, Maine in 1978 but lived in this area most of his life.
He is survived by his parents, Marilyn (Chase) Brown and Reginald P. Brown, Jr. of Amesbury; his sister, Lynn Brown of Amesbury; his brother, Eric Brown of Seabrook, N.H. He lost his brother, Jason Brown, in 2010 at the age of 29, with whom he was very close, as he was with his other siblings. Brian also leaves his six children, whom he loved very deeply, daughters, Sarah, Alexis, Nicole and Brianna Brown, all of Seabrook, N.H.; his devoted friend and mother of his daughter, Jessica Brown and son, Jacob Brown of Salisbury. Courtney Dealmedia was always there for him and we wish to thank her for the love and support she gave to his family. Also surviving is his grandmother, Harriette Hartford; many cousins, aunts, and his best friend, Paul Crooks of Amesbury. In addition to his brother, Jason, he was predeceased by his little brother, Reggie; grandfather, Reginald P. Brown, Sr.; grandmother, Sarah L. Brown; and grandfather, Irwin “Buddy” Hartford.
Brian loved music, sports, camping and fishing, and having a few cold beers with family and friends.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for him at the hospitals.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held Friday, January 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury. Burial in Belleville Cemetery, Newburyport will be in the spring time.
