Barbara Jean Guy Janvrin, 62, of Seabrook, N.H., passed away surrounded by her family on August 1, 2017 at the Hyder House in Dover, N.H. Her second battle with cancer claimed her life.
Barbara was born in Newburyport, on April 25, 1955, the daughter of Barbara Carpenter Guy and the late Frank Guy. She grew up in Salisbury, and attended Triton High School.
Barbara was a dedicated mother and grandmother to her three daughters and her 10 grandchildren. She enjoyed having family dinners and get-togethers, especially during the holidays. Barbara was a social butterfly who greeted her family each day with her kindhearted words on social media. She had a talent for crafting; her most popular items were her Butterflies from Heaven candles. She also enjoyed her days at the beach and by the pool. Barbara was a compassionate, giving, selfless person who worked as a Personal Care Assistant for many years.
Barbara is survived by her mother, Barbara Carpenter Guy of Farmington, N.H.; her three daughters, Tifonie Janvrin of Dover, N.H., Jessica Dones and her husband, Richard Dones of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Tina Janvrin of Haverhill; her four brothers George Guy and his wife Dixie Guy of Hayward, Calif., Jack Guy and his wife, Susan Guy of Hayward, Calif., Joseph Guy of Methuen, and James Guy of Farmington, N.H.; her five grandchildren, Shonna Fuentes, Alessa Janvrin, Chance Dones, Jayden Dones, and Jaysani Munoz; five great-grandchildren; her boyfriend, Charles Barrett of Seabrook, N.H.; two aunts, Susan Doucette of Ipswich, MA and Sharon Theriault of Madbury, N.H., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded by her father, Frank Guy of Farmington, N.H.
All who knew and loved Barbara are welcome to attend her Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 6, 2017, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 25 Low Street, Newburyport, Mass., 01950.
