Annette N. Basque
Annette Noella Basque was blessed with a long and wonderful life, in which she lived to the fullest.
She was born December 18, 1922, in Amesbury, where she resided for the remainder of her life. She graduated from Amesbury High School. After high school, she entered into the Navy and proudly served in World War II. Upon discharge from the Navy, she returned to Amesbury where she met and married her husband the late Jacque Basque who she shared 45 years of marriage with. They had two children together. Annette worked various jobs in her life, but none were greater to her than her job as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Annette resided at the “Towers" in Amesbury for 27 years, it was here that she made many of her dear friends she has today. She was a faithful friend, and a great listener that was loved by all.
She had a passion for baking and crafting. There was nothing she loved more than to be in the kitchen baking for her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Clark and husband Robert of Amesbury, Mass.; a son, Michael Basque and wife Cheryl also of Amesbury; three grandchildren, Julie Mahoney and husband Brian of Amesbury, Mass., Christian Basque and wife Brandy of Portland, Maine, and Nathan Basque and his wife Meghann of Haverhill, Mass. She had four great-grandchildren who were the light of her life, Kaelin, Kasey, Brooklyn, and Brady Mahoney.
We would like to thank the many aides that cared for her over the years at the Towers, as well as a special thank you to the third floor staff at Merrimack Valley Health Care, who lovingly took care of her for the past year.
An hour of visitation for Annette will be held this Wednesday, January 9, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., in Amesbury, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to a charity of one's choice.
