Anita B.'s Story
Anita B. LeMoine, 99, of Haverhill passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was a resident of Wingate at Haverhill for the past five years, moving from Amesbury where she resided for many years. Prior to moving to Amesbury, Anita lived in both Danvers and Peabody for 28 years. She was born in Amesbury on July 6, 1918, daughter of the late Hector Provencher and Josephine (Lacourse) Provencher.
Anita graduated from Sacred Heart School in Amesbury. As a young woman, she worked for the Merrimac Hat Company. She married Joseph LeMoine and was a devoted wife and mother to their six children. After her children were grown, she returned to work outside the home at Sylvania Electric in Salem, Mass. She was an active member of the Women’s Auxillary of the VFW. Most important to Anita were the times she shared with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anita is survived by her children, Robert LeMoine and his wife, Sharon of Middleton, Mass., Janet Sharaky and her husband, Harold of Lincoln, Calif., Norman LeMoine and his wife, Kathleen, of Kittery, Maine, and Richard LeMoine and his wife, Christina of W. Kennebunk, Maine; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Irene (Provencher) Raymond of Derry, N.H., and sister-in-law, Jean (Carrier) Provencher of Hampton, N.H.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Joseph B. LeMoine in 1982; her 7-year old son, Albert in 1957; and her daughter, Ann Marie Gagnon in 2015; her two brothers, Leo and Hector Jr.; and her six sisters, Rose Manning, Lillian Theroux, Blanche Mispilkin, Agnes Mullarkey and Laurette Provencher. Also predeceasing her was her son-in-law, Philip Gagnon.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home in Amesbury. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the same location from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury. Relatives and friends are invited.
